In today’s troubled times, the cancel culture is trying to hush voices speaking the truth. This culture isn’t new; even St. Paul in the Bible warned about turning away from sound teaching for myths. The Bible, often dismissed as outdated, actually holds wisdom crucial for today. People who reject the Bible may be deceived or intentionally misleading.
Recently, a backlash occurred against Harrison Butker, kicker for the Kansas City Chiefs, for speaking truth at a Catholic college commencement. He highlighted the importance of men in society, the erosion of true masculinity, and the value of womanhood and motherhood. These truths clashed with progressive ideologies that reject God’s truth.
Science, often hailed as the ultimate truth, hasn’t disproved the existence of God. In fact, the complexity of the universe points to an intelligent designer. Despite this evidence, many still deny God’s existence, clinging to their desires. They fail to understand that true freedom comes from aligning with God’s truth.
The cancel culture’s suppression of truth leads to moral decay and societal darkness. The Bible’s teachings, as emphasized by St. Paul, Cardinal Raymond Burke, and others, offer a path to truth and light. By embracing God’s truth, individuals can resist the falsehoods perpetuated by the cancel culture and find genuine meaning and purpose in life.
