The buzz surrounding the last-minute pardons issued by President Biden is growing louder, and it turns out that these pardons may lack any credible authority. Former President Donald Trump pointed out that every one of these documents appears to have been auto-signed by an autopen, raising serious questions about whether Biden was even aware of what he was signing and why. If Biden didn’t know about these pardons, are they even real? Apparently, according to Trump, they are about as authentic as a three-dollar bill.
In recent reports, it’s been revealed that Biden has relied heavily on this mechanical signature device, leading many to wonder if he ever played a role in any of these controversial decisions. Among them is the pardon he granted to his son Hunter, whose legal troubles have made headlines several times. Not stopping there, the president also gifted pardons to family members and even former Congresswoman Liz Cheney and her committee buddies—those who were instrumental in trying to pin the blame for January 6 on Trump. One can’t help but wonder if Biden used the autopen for his own returns as well.
Trump took to social media to make his voice heard, declaring these autopen-promulgated pardons as void and lacking any legal weight. He emphasized that Biden didn’t sign them out of genuine approval, which raises the stakes for the committee members who thought they got off scot-free. If they believed Biden’s signature held any value, they might want to check their legal documents again because Trump has promised that there will be consequences for what he termed the “Unselect Committee of Political Thugs.”

This not-so-complicated autopen contraption may sign documents with uncanny precision, but its use for something as weighty as pardons is raising eyebrows. Critics argue that signing vital legal documents without the president’s direct input is problematically reckless, particularly when people’s freedom is at stake. With recent revelations from the Oversight Project, a subsidiary of the Heritage Foundation, the notion has only gained traction that the elusive Biden has been a mere puppet manipulated by far-left advisors instead of a decisive leader.
The questions don’t end there; they’ve only just begun. Speaker of the House Mike Johnson recently spoke about a conversation with Biden where the president apparently didn’t even know the content of an executive order he had signed. Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey also jumped into the fray, urging the Justice Department to investigate the possibility that Biden’s aides hid his cognitive decline to push their radical policies without proper oversight. If Biden really isn’t fully up to the task, the whole nation might be teetering on a cliff that no one saw coming.
