Former Clinton insider Larry Summers, who once held one of the most powerful seats in Washington as Treasury Secretary, is once again raising eyebrows—this time for running away from his cushy Harvard gig. The reason? Summers’ ugly ties to the disgraced child predator Jeffrey Epstein have come roaring back, and the liberal ivory tower can’t sweep it under the rug any longer. It’s almost funny watching the so-called “intellectual elite” scramble when their own skeletons burst out of the closet.
Let’s not forget, Summers wasn’t just some low-level bureaucrat. He was handpicked by Bill Clinton himself—no surprise given the revolving door of Democratic bigwigs who enjoyed Epstein’s company. Now that Summers has announced he’ll be resigning from his prestigious teaching post at Harvard, Americans are forced to stare down the truth once more: the left’s favorite economists and power brokers can’t seem to distance themselves from monsters like Epstein, no matter how hard they try.

For years, the liberal press dismissed any real investigation into Epstein’s powerful friends. And when details about these relationships did come to light, it was always “nothing to see here.” But when the story gets too big, when people like Summers finally have to answer for their behavior, suddenly resignation is the only option. Don’t expect any real accountability—just more elite hand-wringing and empty promises.
The hypocrisy is staggering. If a Trump aide had so much as shared a taxi with Epstein, CNN would run wall-to-wall coverage for months. But when it’s Clinton’s cronies embroiled in scandal, the Democrats act like it’s ancient history that doesn’t matter. Globalist institutions like Harvard seem to have unlimited patience for their own, so long as they push the “correct” political agenda. Ordinary Americans are left shaking their heads, asking how these people keep getting away with it.
