The saga of TikTok continues to be a never-ending tale of delays and dithering. Here we are, witnessing President Trump extending the deadline, yet again, for the sale of the controversial app without a single buyer emerging from the shadows. This isn’t just about some app. It’s a symbol of how weak-kneed approaches to foreign threats are sold to us as patience or diplomacy, and it’s high time to call out this indecision for what it really is: toothless.
One might ask, what in the world is taking so long? TikTok’s ties to China are no secret. We’re talking about an app that’s a digital arm of the Communist Party on Western soil. Yet, every extension given only serves to embolden our adversaries. That’s the weakness that has been the hallmark of liberal policy: all bark, no bite.
President Trump made it clear that a sale was imminent, and yet somehow, nothing materializes. If this isn’t a case of smoke and mirrors, it’s hard to say what would be. But, worse yet, the silence from the left on TikTok speaks volumes. Anti-American sentiments are tolerated time and again when there’s a profit to be made or an election to be won. This isn’t simply about keeping an app; it’s about choosing a side, America’s safety or China’s overreach.
It's been nearly a month since President Trump announced he had buyers for the social media app TikTok, and since then, radio silence. https://t.co/prXqMf3nmO

We can’t forget that this isn’t just about spy threats or data security. This is about cultural influence. TikTok is an arena where American values are being compromised by thinly-veiled propaganda. Why is there no outcry from liberal quarters who love to preach about the so-called misinformation they fear in domestic content? Because, once again, principles fall victim to expediency.
The TikTok debacle teaches us once more that when you wrestle with red tape and indecisiveness, you yield to your adversaries. So, what will it be America? Will we let liberty’s threats dance around with impunity, or will we stand firm, sever ties, and reclaim the narrative? The clock is ticking.
