CNN Faces Backlash for Obsession with Trump Era Deportee Amid Bukele Visit

President Donald J. Trump recently hosted El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele at the White House, which should have signaled a moment of diplomatic progress. Instead, it turned into a spirited media circus, thanks largely to CNN’s obsession with a single deportee. It seems CNN has decided to hitch its wagon to this legal saga, questioning Bukele about the man Trump successfully sent back to El Salvador during his presidency. Bukele, however, shot down the notion with gusto, deeming the whole idea utterly ridiculous.

According to Bukele, it’s simply not in a U.S. court’s ability to dictate the terms of foreign relations, and the media’s attempt to refocus this matter is just another case of them trying to micromanage international diplomacy. All of this prompted Trump to take a swing at CNN, daring to say that they possess a particular disdain for America. Given their history, it’s hard to argue with that observation.

CNN, likely feeling a little too much pressure, took the bait faster than a cat with a laser pointer. Their anchor Dana Bash promptly stated that CNN does not harbor any hatred toward the country. This raises the question of whether it’s normal for a “news” organization to clarify that it doesn’t detest the nation it reports on. It’s a remarkable situation indeed and serves as evidence of just how far the mainstream media has strayed into absurdity.

In an ironic twist, sources continue to show that while CNN is fervently anti-Trump, they might as well be branded as anti-American as well. Their desperate declarations that they do not hate America are humorously undermined by the fact that their so-called journalism often pits them against the very values the nation stands for. It’s as if they’re attempting to convince everyone that it’s not raining while standing in a downpour.

Meanwhile, social media is buzzing about the tussle, with comments pointing out that this whole charade is evidence of why the mainstream media often finds itself on the receiving end of skepticism and derision. If CNN is forced to clarify that it doesn’t despise the United States, then perhaps they might want to reevaluate their editorial line. Until then, the American public remains more than justified in questioning the motivations behind such bizarre reporting antics.
