It seems there’s no end to the lengths the Democrats and their allies in the mainstream media will go to spin a narrative, even in the face of overwhelming evidence. Following JD Vance’s commanding triumph over Tim Walz in the recent vice presidential debate, CNN’s Democrat talking heads scrambled to create a fantastical theory: a Vance victory could actually harm the Trump-Vance ticket. This kind of outlandish thinking could only come from the network that prides itself on being the “Most Trusted Name in News,” all while tripping over its own bias.
As the debate unfolded, the contrast between Vance and Walz was stark. Vance, well-prepared and poised, methodically dismantled Walz, whose track record of dishonesty and lack of preparation became glaringly apparent. Yet, CNN managed to turn this clear loss into a supposed problem for Vance. Their reasoning? It was clumsy, to say the least. Some might call it spin; others might see it for what it truly is—desperate deflection from the reality of the Democrats’ sinking ship.
The absurd analysis began with the likes of David Axelrod, a veteran Democrat strategist who presides over CNN’s discussion panels. Drawing bizarre comparisons, he likened Vance’s debating prowess to a predatory coyote while characterizing Walz as a warm and friendly Labrador. One wonders if Axelrod was thinking of Vance’s ability to outshine Walz in intellect and tenacity or just trying to lessen the sting of Walz’s utter collapse. To anyone watching, it was clear which candidate was truly the apex predator on that stage.
Adding to the ridiculousness, other CNN contributors piled on by suggesting that Vance’s performance was deceptive—a claim that only highlights the network’s struggle to accept the reality that Republicans can, on occasion, really dominate a debate. They floundered around enacting a narrative that Vance’s politeness somehow masked a sinister predatory nature. Such speculations show a reckless disregard for the facts and an uninspired attempt to rehabilitate Walz’s image as he was left reeling on stage.

It’s almost comical to watch such clear projections of bias, particularly from a network that insists on its objectivity. The reality is that Vance was calm, collected, and articulate, demonstrating factual accuracy that was widely apparent to the viewership. Yet, the leftist media machine insists on concocting narratives to protect their floundering candidates. Their narratives lack the same rigor and intensity that Vance brought to the table.
Ultimately, the desperation of the Democrats and their media accomplices highlights their fear of strong conservative candidates. The more they try to downplay a decisive win for Vance, the clearer it becomes that they are grasping at straws. The conservative base is certainly not fooled, and the narrative that emerged from CNN is nothing more than a comical attempt at damage control, which only serves to bolster Vance’s standing among voters who value transparency, truth, and capability over the floundering antics of an ill-prepared opponent.
