Far-left socialist Cori Bush is in hot water once again, folks! This time, the radical Democrat representative from Missouri is under investigation for paying her husband, Cortney Merritts, for supposed “security services.” Can you believe it? It’s yet another example of the corrupt and hypocritical behavior we often see from these far-left politicians.

Now, the House Sergeant-At-Arms has been served with a grand jury subpoena from the Justice Department, which means that things are getting serious. But of course, Bush is quick to deny any wrongdoing and instead plays the blame game. She tries to deflect responsibility onto us conservatives, as if we had anything to do with this investigation.
In her lengthy statement, Bush claims that the reason for hiring her husband was his “extensive experience in this area.” But here’s the thing, folks – according to a Federal Election Commission complaint filed last year, her husband doesn’t even have a St. Louis private security license. So much for that so-called “experience.”
She had the audacity to say that her husband was paid “at or below a fair market rate” using campaign funds. Really, Cori? Paying your own husband with campaign money? That doesn’t scream “integrity” to me.
Bush is already playing the victim card. She blames “relentless threats” as the reason for her exorbitant spending on private security. According to her, it’s all just a big conspiracy against her.
Bush accuses Texas Republican Troy Nehls of endangering black lives because he called her husband a “thug.” Can you believe the nerve of this woman? Trying to make it about race when it’s clearly about her unethical behavior.
This federal investigation might just put a damper on Bush’s re-election hopes. Maybe this will open the door for a strong conservative candidate like St. Louis prosecutor Wesley Bell to step up and challenge her in the primary.
