Another day, another court steps in to push the Trump administration around. This time, the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals is forcing the release of taxpayer dollars for New Jersey’s Gateway Tunnel project—a bonanza for Democrat cronies and big-city bureaucrats. The left is thrilled, of course. They love nothing more than grabbing federal money and shoveling it into their pet projects, with hardly any accountability for where it ends up.
Let’s be honest: New Jersey politicians and their allies have been itching to get their hands on these funds for years. And why? Because their failing infrastructure is a mess of their own making. These are the same blue state leaders who can’t manage their own budgets, then look to Washington to bail them out every time something crumbles. Now they’ve found activist judges willing to force that bailout, all at the expense of the American people.

The Trump administration tried to put a stop to this nonsense. They saw right through the globalist scheme to use federal money as candy for pet projects in deep-blue states. Why should taxpayers from rural America pay the price for failed Democrat policies, waste, and corruption in New Jersey? The left never answers that question. They just cheer when unelected judges overrule the will of the people.
This court decision is a slap in the face to every hardworking American who’s tired of their money being funneled into liberal wish lists. What about funding for real priorities—border security, veterans, and working families? Instead, elites in Washington and Trenton demand billions for tunnels that help their donor class ride in comfort while everyday Americans struggle to fill their gas tanks.
Are we really going to let the courts dictate where our hard-earned money goes? Or will the people finally demand that politicians stop rubber-stamping every leftist boondoggle disguised as “progress”? The answer should be obvious to anyone who still believes in America first.
