The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has made it clear that the President is within his rights to federalize these troops and deploy them to combat rioters in Los Angeles. This decision came after the chaos incited by anti-ICE protests turned into full-blown riots. Isn’t it ironic that a judge would label President Trump’s actions as “monarchical,” while ignoring the constitutional duty of the President to protect American citizens from violence? Governor Newsom and his far-left cronies should understand that law enforcement is a top priority, and the federal government has an obligation to restore stability when state leaders fail.

The Tenth Amendment, which Governor Newsom tried to wave like a flag, is not a free license for state officials to rebel against the federal government when it suits their political agenda.
