The chat mistakenly included National Security Adviser Mike Waltz—clearly a rookie mistake in such a heated political climate. The messages themselves simply revealed that Trump and his team were effectively handling threats to American lives and interests—turns out the only thing truly embarrassing was the attempt at a political hit job.
Cruz was quick to underscore the true substance behind the text message leak. Rather than being a scandalous blunder, the communications reflected a proactive approach to national security—a stark contrast to the Biden administration’s tendency to ignore threats while citizens pay the price. The senator pointed out that the attacks being discussed were aimed at eliminating terrorists targeting American interests, something that even the most hardened critics of Trump would find hard to argue against.
As for the results of CBS’s latest poll, which showed Trump’s approval rating at a respectable 50 percent? Cruz had a field day with it. He noted that despite the Democrats throwing everything they had at Signal-gate, their plan failed spectacularly. The poll results indicated that half of America still stands with Trump, while only the other half seems to be losing their minds over an issue that resonates with practically no one outside the echo chambers of progressive media. In short, Cruz reinforced the reality that while the left may be relentless, their efforts are often futile when pitted against Trump’s enduring popularity.
