In an audacious demonstration of selective justice, the D.C. jail, affectionately dubbed the Gulag by the patriots, has thrown a wrench in one of Donald Trump’s most promising presidential actions: commuting sentences and pardoning those involved in the January 6 unrest. Despite the former president’s clear directive to release all individuals convicted of related offenses, several prisons are putting up a resistance that would impress even the most hardened revolutionaries.
Trump’s magnanimous commutation affected about a dozen inhabitants behind bars, delivering a message of justice for the 6th of January defenders. However, the Biden-Harris regime appears determined to continue their infamous legacy of retribution by forcibly keeping these “political prisoners” incarcerated. Months—and in some cases years—of solitary confinement and mistreatment have not deterred the Department of Injustice from ignoring a lawful presidential action. While it’s laughable that anyone could think there’s equity in this supposed justice system, the true alarming aspect is that D.C. officials are brazenly refusing to release individuals who have already served far too much time for simply exercising their rights.
So, what do the families of these prisoners do when faced with bureaucratic immobility? They turn to social media, of course. Even tech titan Elon Musk stepped into the fray, urging families to bring Trump’s pardons along as a negotiating tactic. While it’s unclear if the guards took the suggestion to heart or laughed at it like they’ve reportedly done with many families trying to reunite with their loved ones, the resistance from the D.C. jail has become a tour de force of irony, especially considering the incarcerated may have more legitimate claims of injustice than the likes of Biden’s chosen criminals.

News from inside the Gulag is even worse than anticipated. A recent report detailed the alleged assault of Jake Lang, a J6er who described being handcuffed and tossed back into his cell as he was about to be released. After spending about four years in a metaphorical and literal cell of shame—dominated largely by solitary confinement—Lang’s ordeal encapsulates just how far the establishment is willing to extend their disdain for due process when it comes to patriots standing up for their rights. His pleas for freedom echo a sentiment shared by many who believe that this twisted spectacle of justice needs to end.
This whole debacle reeks of hypocrisy. While Biden squanders pardons for much worse offenses—murder, espionage, and other moral failings—those caught up in the January 6 episode are treated as if they are the worst offenders in the American justice system. It’s quite the circus when political bias leads to lawlessness behind bars, but it’s unmistakably evident: the Biden administration has flipped the script on the rule of law, turning it into a farcical play where the actors have taken a very long intermission, all in the name of preserving their own narrative. There’s nothing quite like a two-tiered justice system to taint the spirit of America.
