In the state of New Hampshire, a Democrat is making headlines for all the wrong reasons. State Rep. Amanda Toll (D) is pushing an amendment to the state’s constitution that would essentially enshrine late-term abortion rights up to 24 weeks, and even allow for abortions past that point for so-called “medically necessary” reasons. In a shocking and disturbing display, Toll held her newborn baby girl in her arms while speaking in favor of this amendment. Yes, you read that right, cradling her newborn daughter while advocating for abortions up to the second trimester and beyond. Talk about tone-deaf and heartless.
Toll shamelessly took the opportunity to share details about her own abortion experience as a teenager, claiming that it allowed her to pursue higher education and eventually become a state representative. She went on to assert that her decision to terminate her pregnancy as a teen ultimately led to her having her newborn daughter when she was “ready.” What a slap in the face to the sanctity of life and motherhood. It’s clear that Toll’s distorted priorities are clouding her judgment, as she proudly touts the idea of a woman’s right to “self-determination” in making such life-changing, irreversible decisions.

Unsurprisingly, Toll’s insensitive actions have spurred outrage and condemnation from pro-life advocates and organizations. Even the 40 Days for Life group labeled her behavior as “insane and cruel,” and it’s hard to argue against that assessment. How can an individual hold their precious newborn child while fervently championing the expansion of abortion access? It’s a twisted and deeply troubling contradiction that highlights the extreme lengths some politicians will go to further their radical agendas.
As if her callous advocacy for late-term abortion wasn’t enough, it’s worth noting that Toll’s background includes being a yoga instructor and former social studies teacher, and she reportedly founded a vegan ice cream business to promote feminism. It’s a perfect storm of progressive ideologies that are completely out of touch with the values of the majority of hardworking, sensible Americans.
In the end, Rep. Amanda Toll’s blatant disregard for the dignity of human life, coupled with her brazen promotion of late-term abortions, only serves to underscore the urgency of protecting the most vulnerable members of society. It’s a sad state of affairs when an elected official chooses to prioritize a radical abortion agenda over the fundamental right to life, for both the unborn and, in this instance, the newly born.
