Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and her merry band of Democrats have found a new boogeyman in billionaire Elon Musk’s supposed “Nazi salute” during a Trump rally. Following Musk’s attempt to engage with the crowd like any normal person would, the left’s response has been to whip out the ceremonial torches and pitchforks, labeling him as public enemy number one. Isn’t it amusing how a simple gesture can send the left spiraling into a full-blown meltdown?
On a recent episode of “The Rachel Maddow Show” on MSNBC, Minnesota’s former vice gubernatorial wannabe, Tim Walz, took it upon himself to join the fray. Emitting sheer exasperation, he insisted that Musk’s actions were nothing short of a Nazi salute. It’s almost as if he believes every politically incorrect blob of information must be treated as gospel. Walz seemed high on conviction and low on coherence as he lamented about his lost election while desperately trying to connect the dots between Musk and his disgusted rant. As if people didn’t already have enough on their minds trying to decipher reality from the fever dreams often spewed on the airwaves.
In a stroke of irony that would make even the most seasoned satirist chuckle, Walz urged viewers to stay focused amidst the “distractions” while engaging in what can only be described as his own unhinged distraction fest. Maybe it’s time he took his own advice; focusing seems to have gone the way of decorum for the left. Walz’s high-volume grievances about life post-election suggest he’s suffering from a serious case of political fatigue—a condition that seems to affect many a Democrat these days.
Bizarrely, Walz appears to have developed a penchant for invoking the Nazi narrative during heated debates. He’s not alone; if there’s one thing the left loves, it’s finding a way to liken any non-progressive sentiment to fascism. Just last October, they tried to equate a Trump rally to a Nazi gathering from the late 1930s, all while the actual timeline begs to differ. Maybe this Nazi obsession is less about political strategy and more about the left’s inability to articulate a coherent argument against ideas that threaten their ideology.
I am ok with Walz being handed a fat defamation lawsuit. https://t.co/ddMifgG2QV

While Walz spins tales of grand conspiracies involving Musk and overtures he’s never made, many conservative voices are suggesting that Musk should just sue the daylights out of Walz for libel. It’s incredible that in the land of the free, wild allegations can be flung around without a hint of evidence, and there are few consequences for the purveyors of this nonsense. Musk has indicated he might just do that, calling Walz “creepy” and throwing in a joker emoji for good measure.
It remains to be seen how far this absurdity will go, but one thing is clear: if the left continues to scream “Nazi” at every turn simply to demonize their opponents, they’re only setting themselves up for an epic facepalm down the line. Maybe next, they’ll convince the world that anyone who eats a hot dog at a baseball game is a fascist sympathizer. With this level of frenzy, anything is possible.
