When will Democrats admit they have a crime problem? While liberals like to bury their heads in the sand and claim their cities are just fine, the American people know better. And it’s time for a reality check, starting with the city that used to embody the American Dream: Detroit. You’ve got a Senate candidate, Mike Rogers, who is rightfully calling on President Trump to step in and take action against the rampant crime that’s been plaguing Detroit. Liberals will call it grandstanding; the rest of us call it common sense.
Detroit’s leadership is busy patting itself on the back for what it calls progress in reducing crime. But let’s get real. Despite some cherry-picked statistics, Detroit is labeled one of the nation’s most dangerous cities in 2024. And who does the city’s representative blame? Rogers, for daring to point out the truth. Get this: they’ve reduced carjackings to a minuscule number over several years. But ask yourself, at what cost to the rest of the community? How many more lives are impacted by a false sense of security?

Mike Rogers, with a law enforcement background, is not just tossing political rhetoric around. He understands what it takes to keep communities safe. Meanwhile, the entrenched political class of Detroit, obviously threatened by real leadership, dismisses him. The decline in violent crime is not a steady trend; it’s a blip on the political radar, manipulated for optics. Detroit is still grappling with issues that have left its many residents living in fear.
President Trump has shown bravery in tackling crime where others have failed. He successfully curbed violence in Washington, D.C., and isn’t afraid to point out the chaos in liberal utopias like Chicago. With Detroit’s hopeless leadership doubling down on failed policies, it only makes sense for the federal government to step in before these stats get even worse.
Why should families suffer in areas where liberal policies run the show? It’s time to think of real solutions, instead of dismissing those who advocate for safety and order. Maybe those in charge should spend less time chanting slogans and more time asking themselves why America’s cities are getting less and less safe. What will these Democrats do if President Trump offers help? Turn it down and let their citizens fend for themselves?
