Democrats continue to demonstrate just how out of touch they are with the real concerns of American citizens, particularly when it comes to illegal immigration. The wake-up call many hoped for from the disastrous 2024 elections appears to have fallen on deaf ears. Instead of reassessing their radical policies, Democrats have decided to double down, proving once again that they prioritize the interests of illegal immigrants over the safety and well-being of Americans.
The tragic stories of Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungaray, and Rachel Morin should have resonated across the nation, stirring outrage and calls for immediate action. Riley, a promising nursing student in Georgia, lost her life at the hands of a Venezuelan national who should have never stepped foot on American soil. Nungaray, just twelve years old, met a similar fate in Texas, and Morin, a mother of five in Maryland, was brutally slain by a convict with a history of violent crime. But instead of uniting to demand change, the Democrats remained silent, showcasing their true allegiances.
It’s astonishing that the only time Democrats show any semblance of outrage related to immigration policies is when an MS-13 gang member, like Kilmar Abrego Garcia, faces deportation. This inconsistent response speaks volumes about their priorities. While American families grieve, the left finds its voice only when it comes to defending the very individuals who are jeopardizing the lives of innocent citizens. It’s a sad day when the dignity and safety of law-abiding Americans are cast aside in favor of supporting those who break the law.

Their lack of accountability extends to the media, which seems far more interested in sensationalizing the story of an illegal alien’s deportation than addressing the real victims of violent crime. The White House’s deputy chief of staff for policy rightfully pointed out the skewed priorities of the press, highlighting that the media apparatus seems more intent on defending criminals than covering the tragedies faced by American families.
With every passing day, it becomes increasingly apparent that Democrats have made their choice: they prioritize appealing to illegal immigrants over protecting American citizens. Their open-border policies are not just misguided; they are dangerously reckless. The message they send is clear: securing votes from those who enter the country unlawfully holds more importance than safeguarding the lives of hardworking Americans. In a community that values safety and order, this is nothing short of an affront to the citizens they claim to serve.
