They say history repeats itself, and we’re seeing it unfold yet again with the latest theatrics from the Democratic Party. Liberals just can’t seem to contain their tantrums over President Donald Trump’s latest renovation at the White House. Imagine, he added a ballroom, and you’d think it was the end of the world.
Democrats have conveniently forgotten when their own heroes made alterations to the famed residence. Did anyone bat an eye when Obama transformed the tennis court into a basketball court for his own enjoyment? Or when George W. Bush revamped the Press Briefing Room and the Situation Room? No, because it wasn’t about obstruction then; it’s about politics now. It’s about stirring up distractions when there are no actual policies to stand on.
Democrats having a meltdown down over a remodel. Which can only benefit the future holders and it is NOT costing Americans anything, my gosh complaining about positives is the democrats MO! Give me a break! pic.twitter.com/Ptu5TTEGcC

In the latest circus act, two Democratic representatives, Eric Swalwell and Ruben Gallego, have taken to the airwaves, suggesting future Democratic presidents should dismantle the ballroom. They hide behind thinly veiled attempts to portray themselves as saviors of the American people, claiming Trump should be more focused on economic issues. If that’s not the pot calling the kettle black, I don’t know what is. These Democrats can’t seem to get their priorities straight. Instead of focusing on real issues, they’re obsessed with erasing any trace of Trump. Vindictive much?
With so many other pressing issues at hand, it’s amusing, yet disturbing, to see these politicians get so worked up over brick and mortar. It’s the embodiment of their hypocrisy in glorious Technicolor. They conveniently forget the renovation efforts of their own party’s presidents and instead choose to demonize Trump for doing exactly what predecessors have done without controversy.
This fixation on erasing history does nothing for the American people. It’s time these politicians start investing in solutions, rather than engaging in petty acts of vengeance. We’ve got bigger fish to fry than worrying about who put what where in a historic building. Democracy and perspective took the back seat a long time ago, but not by those you’d expect. Here’s a question: When will the Democrats stop their whimpering over every move Trump makes and focus on real change instead?
