Washington is broken. Again. Thanks to Democratic gridlock and their relentless hatred for anything President Trump touches, the Department of Homeland Security has been shut down for weeks—crippling our border security when we need it most. Democrats made this mess and, as usual, they’re too busy pandering to the radical left to fix it. They don’t care about protecting American families; they just want to score political points.
Let’s look at what’s actually happening. Operation Epic Fury and other critical missions are stalling. Agents from ICE and the Border Patrol are on the front lines and—thankfully—still getting paid because of a responsible Republican bill. But the story doesn’t end there. The civilian staff, the backbone of these agencies, are stuck without paychecks. Once again, hardworking Americans have to suffer while Democrat politicians complain from the safety of their D.C. mansions. What a disgrace.

Trump’s taking matters into his own hands. Remember when he overruled the bureaucrats and made sure TSA agents got paid out of tax cut funds? Security lines got shorter overnight, and airports ran more smoothly. Now he’s looking to do the same for those neglected civilian workers at ICE and CBP. While leftists wring their hands and blame everyone but themselves, Trump gets things done. Leadership like this puts America first, even while globalist elites whine and protest.
Republican leaders thought the Democrats might actually come to the table to reopen DHS. Big mistake. Democrats only care about open borders and blocking Trump—period. When push came to shove, they backed out of their own deal, leaving our border vulnerable. Now the MAGA movement is waking up and realizing it’s time to nuke the filibuster and stop giving Senate cowards like Schumer the chance to sabotage America’s security. If Republicans don’t start showing real backbone, what’s the point?
Here’s the reality: Democrats are more concerned with helping illegal aliens than protecting American citizens. Trump knows it and most people outside the Beltway know it too. The left is desperate to preserve its power, even if it means putting our safety at risk. Are we really going to sit back and let them win again? America deserves better.
