Former Republican governor of Maryland, Larry Hogan, is making waves in the political world with the possibility of a 2024 presidential run. However, Hogan is not looking to make his mark on a GOP ticket. In a recent interview on CBS News’s Face the Nation, Hogan, who currently serves as the Honorary Chairman of the No Labels party, discussed the potential candidates for the Republican nomination.
The conversation quickly turned to the idea of Hogan being the top choice for a No Labels ticket if Donald Trump were to win the nomination again. Hogan responded by saying, “It’s not something I’m pursuing,” but also left the door open, stating that he hasn’t closed the door to the possibility. He highlighted his record as the first Republican governor in Maryland to be reelected for a second term, winning the most votes in the state’s history.

Hogan expressed his hope that a Trump-Biden rematch may not even happen. He believes that if a strong ticket is put together by No Labels, they have a chance to access the ballot in all 50 states and be competitive in the race. Hogan acknowledged that this would be a historic feat, just as his victory in Maryland was.
In the race for the GOP nomination, Trump is up against a crowded field including Nikki Haley, Asa Hutchinson, Chris Christie, Will Hurd, Mike Pence, Tim Scott, Doug Burgum, Ron DeSantis, Francis Suarez, Larry Elder, Perry Johnson, and Vivek Ramaswamy. Only time will tell if Hogan decides to throw his hat into the ring and shake up the political landscape even further.
