The sneaky Department of Justice (DOJ) decided to keep a tight lid on the recording of President Joe Biden’s chit-chat with Robert Hur, the former special counsel. Hur was supposed to dig into Biden’s fishy actions with classified papers from his time as vice president and big boss of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Even though Hur didn’t have the guts to charge Biden, he did suggest that Biden’s memory was as leaky as a rusty bucket.
House Republicans wanted to get their ears on that juicy interview tape, but oh boy, did the DOJ slam the door on that request! The DOJ penned a letter basically saying, “Nuh-uh, you’re not getting your hands on that audio treasure. You already got the written stuff, be happy with that!” It sounds like the DOJ doesn’t want the cookies to crumble and risk scaring off future interviewees with their stonewalling tactics.

Now, those feisty House committees are getting their feathers ruffled, talking about running off to Mommy and Daddy Court to cry contempt on Attorney General Merrick Garland. The DOJ had the nerve to suggest that the committees were just fishing for trouble and didn’t have a leg to stand on with their requests. Sounds like the Democrats are on another witch hunt, looking to stir up drama just for drama’s sake!
The White House is playing the silent game, probably hoping this kerfuffle blows over like a gust of wind. But come on, folks! The Daily Caller News Foundation, waving the flag of truth and righteousness, is here to shine a light on the scheming shadows of the Swamp.
