In a prime example of the liberal sense of humor, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked a comedic question during the White House briefing. He jokingly proposed that President Biden should consider “pulling a fire alarm” to get out of a meeting. Oh, the hilarity! But the real joke is that this question came on the heels of a serious incident involving Rep. Jamaal Bowman, a Democrat from New York.
Over the weekend, a video surfaced showing Bowman actually pulling a fire alarm in the Cannon Building. This led to the evacuation of the entire building just hours before an important vote on government funding. Talk about disrupting official proceedings! House Speaker Kevin McCarthy wasted no time in calling it an “embarrassment” and demanding consequences for Bowman’s actions.
Now, in typical fashion, Bowman’s office tried to brush off the incident as unintentional. They claimed he was in a rush to make an urgent vote and didn’t realize the chaos he would cause. But really, shouldn’t a member of Congress be more responsible and aware of their actions? I mean, if this had been a Republican pulling a fire alarm, you can bet there would be calls for criminal prosecution!

And speaking of criminal prosecution, Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene isn’t holding back. She has called for Bowman to be charged with Obstruction of an Official Proceeding, the same charge that has landed many January 6th Capitol protestors behind bars. It’s about time someone held these Democrats accountable for their actions.
This incident highlights a bigger problem with the left’s disregard for the rule of law and the disruptions they are willing to cause to push their agenda. It’s not just about a fire alarm; it’s about a lack of respect for the democratic process. If they can’t get their way through legitimate means, they’ll resort to any tactic, no matter how foolish or disruptive.
So, while the liberals may find humor in the idea of “pulling a fire alarm” to avoid a meeting, let’s not forget the serious consequences that come with such actions. It’s time for these Democrats to grow up and start taking their responsibilities as elected officials seriously. Our democracy depends on it.
