In a shocking case of betrayal and espionage, a former CIA employee, Joshua Schulte, has been sentenced to a whopping 40 years in prison for his despicable crimes against the United States. Schulte was found guilty of exposing classified information about the CIA’s methods of gathering intelligence in the digital world, and to make matters even worse, he was also convicted of possession of child pornography. This guy is really hitting all the marks for being a terrible human being.
Now, it’s not like the damage caused by Schulte’s actions is small potatoes. The judge overseeing the case emphasized that the extent of the destruction caused by Schulte might never be fully known. Prosecutors even went so far as to label the case a “digital Pearl Harbor,” drawing a chilling comparison to the infamous surprise attack that led the United States into World War II. That’s the level of treachery we’re talking about here.

What’s even more disturbing is that Schulte isn’t some lone wolf in the realm of high-tech traitors. Snowden, in particular, has been turned into a celebrity, living it up in Russia as an honored guest of the government. Meanwhile, Manning waltzed out of prison after only seven years, thanks to some last-minute leniency from the Obama administration. And don’t even get started on the play written about Winner’s FBI interview that never saw the light of day. These people are like a who’s who of modern-day turncoats.
But Schulte’s motivations for his treasonous behavior are perhaps the most pathetic of them all. According to prosecutors, he was driven by pure resentment over workplace grievances at the CIA. That’s right, this guy basically burned down the nation’s security because he had personal beef with his employer. Can you believe the audacity?

Schulte lacks the kind of narrative that the establishment media can sensationalize, so they’ve conveniently swept it under the rug.
