Once again, the so-called “allies” in NATO have run for cover, leaving the United States alone to handle the hard work of protecting the world’s supply of oil. When President Trump called on these European freeloaders to step up and form a real naval coalition to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, what did he get in return? Nothing but excuses and empty talk. It’s clear where Europe stands: hiding behind American strength while shaming us for using it.
The Strait of Hormuz isn’t just another patch of water. It’s the lifeblood of the world’s energy markets and a hotbed for Iranian aggression. The globalists in Brussels love to lecture Americans about “international cooperation” and “shared responsibility.” But when the bullets start to fly, or a tanker gets hijacked, suddenly their schedules get very busy. The modern left in Europe and America prefers virtue signals to actual strength. Their hypocrisy is on full display.

President Trump, on the other hand, gets things done. Thanks to years of rebuilding America’s military, our adversaries think twice before poking the bear. That’s why, even when our so-called partners abandon ship, America still protects the world’s interests. Trump has shown these weak-kneed bureaucrats that American muscle keeps the world safe, not fancy dinners in Paris and empty resolutions at the UN.
It’s laughable to watch liberals and globalist elites whine about American “unilateralism” when their own nations refuse to lift a finger. They criticize the very strength that shields them from danger and then run home whenever things get tough. Where are the usual loudmouths in the European media now? Nowhere to be found, because they don’t want to admit America is still the only superpower that matters.
When will the free riders in NATO finally show some backbone and pull their weight? Or maybe they prefer to wait for the next crisis to remind them that without America, their precious “international order” collapses like a house of cards. If our allies want to enjoy the benefits of U.S. leadership, it’s about time they start earning them. Or are they content to criticize and complain from the safety that America might provide, while waving white flags at every real challenge?
