It’s official: the so-called “allies” of America are cowards. President Trump, never one to mince words, made it clear this week that the United States isn’t afraid to deal with threats from Iran. But the moment it’s time for our supposed friends in Europe to step up, they scurry away faster than you can say ‘Strait of Hormuz.’
Let’s set the stage. The waters near Iran are heating up. Ships get threatened, and world oil markets get nervous. Now is the chance for nations like the UK, France, and Germany to show that the West won’t roll over for bullies and terrorists. Instead, these globalist elites refuse to send a single warship to protect one of the world’s most important shipping lanes. They want America to do their dirty work—again. When things get serious, they expect the U.S. to put its own soldiers and taxpayer dollars on the line so they can keep sipping espresso in Paris.

Liberals always say they care about “international cooperation.” But when Trump suggests it’s time for others to carry some of the load, suddenly these champions of democracy shrink back and let America handle the danger. It’s hypocrisy, plain and simple. Apparently, their love for “global security” goes out the window the second anything gets risky or costs real money.
Trump’s approach is the opposite of the limp-wristed leadership we got under Obama and Biden. Instead of apologizing or dithering, he tells the world what needs to be done—and isn’t afraid of hurting anyone’s feelings. He’s willing to make hard choices and stand up to evil regimes. But he’s also smart enough to know that America can’t be the world’s babysitter forever, especially when the left keeps demonizing U.S. power and patriotism at home.
So here’s the question: why should America keep defending a world that won’t defend itself? If our allies keep acting like freeloaders, maybe it’s time we let them see how ugly things get without real American strength. After all, a weak West is exactly what our enemies want. Do liberals even care? Or are they fine-handing victory to Iran and anyone else who hates freedom?
