The veneer of sincerity has finally come crashing down on some liberal media figures who believed they were witnessing an “organic” outpouring of protest in Los Angeles. What began as a seemingly heartfelt demonstration against Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been exposed for what it really is—a staged, astro-turfed sham aimed at undermining law enforcement efforts.
The chaos that erupted across the city mirrored the tumult of 2020, with riots dressed up as “mostly peaceful” protests that left flames and destruction in their wake. These illusionists told Americans they were observing genuine grassroots dissent. But let’s call it what it is: a well-organized and well-funded disruption. It’s amazing how oblivious these media elites are, considering the gear distributed to these so-called protesters: no cheap banners and handmade signs here. We’re talking high-dollar bionic face shields and earplugs to prepare them for more than just chanting slogans.
When President Trump stepped up and called the National Guard and Marines to shield federal workers and property, certain Californian leaders panicked. Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Karen Bass can’t figure out whether to berate the president or beg their supposed peaceful protestors to calm down. The question liberals aren’t addressing is, who is bankrolling this artificial outrage, equipping these troublemakers with shields costing upwards of $60? It’s a compelling mystery. Shouldn’t we question the sources behind these investments in what amounts to urban warfare against US officers?

Displaying their usual double standards, Democrats are frustratingly selective in their brand of outrage, conveniently blind when mobs are incited by their own narratives. Meanwhile, big-city Democrat leaders, their ideologies in shambles, grasp for lawsuits and distractions. Los Angeles is in their hands, after all. Just the kind of leadership we’ve come to expect from a city dragged into disrepair by regressive policies.
The real problem here is this crisis isn’t just a momentary blip. It’s symptomatic of a larger issue: the established left’s eagerness to see America in turmoil if it serves their endgame. They overplay their hand, just to end up scrambling for answers when their façade slips on live TV. Californians deserve better than the spectacle of chaos fueled by misguided liberal fantasies. With such unrealistic leaders at the helm, how long before California can reclaim common sense and genuine concern for its citizens?
