Tragedy struck in Colorado when a 21-year-old man lost his life while attempting a dangerous ski jump over Highway 40. The Grand County Sheriff’s Office reported that the unidentified man was found unconscious and not breathing after his failed stunt. It was revealed that the skier had tried to leap over the highway but did not have enough speed and distance, resulting in a fatal landing on the pavement.
Despite wearing safety gear, including a helmet, the young man could not be revived by emergency responders and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Grand County Coroner’s Office took charge of the investigation to determine the cause of the accident and the victim’s identity.
