The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic has released startling information concerning Dr. Anthony Fauci's involvement with the Central Intelligence Agency's inquiry into the origins of COVID-19. According to their findings, it appears that Fauci had a role in the CIA's assessment of the virus's origins, but there are significant concerns about how he influenced the analysis.
Now, I don't know about you, but it's concerning when a prominent government scientist appears to be surreptitiously entering CIA Headquarters without any documented record. It sounds like a scene from a spy thriller! However, the real issue is whether Fauci attempted to manipulate the CIA's investigation to align with a particular narrative.
The Select Subcommittee is demanding answers, and rightly so. The American public deserves transparency regarding the virus's origin, and if any questionable activities transpired behind the scenes, they must come to light. We cannot tolerate public health authorities suppressing information or politicizing a global pandemic. This is a matter of utmost seriousness.
But the concerns don't end there. The committee has already uncovered evidence suggesting that Fauci used his influence to steer researchers away from the "lab leak theory" and may have even had a hand in drafting a paper that downplayed this possibility. Yes, the individual tasked with guiding our pandemic response may have been concealing the truth about the virus's origins.
I'm not one to jump to conclusions, but this situation is beginning to resemble a substantial cover-up. Fauci warned a researcher that the virus "appeared engineered" and exhibited features inconsistent with evolutionary theory. However, shortly thereafter, that same researcher shifted his stance, dismissing any notions of the virus being engineered as "definitively false." It raises suspicions.
And let's not overlook the financial aspect. Dr. Kristian Andersen, the aforementioned researcher, received substantial grants from the National Institutes of Health, including a sizable payout shortly after his conversation with Fauci. Is this merely a coincidence? It appears increasingly likely that Fauci may have employed taxpayer funds to support research aligning with his preferred narrative.
It's heartening to see that both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Energy have arrived at a similar conclusion to the Select Subcommittee: the "lab leak theory" stands as the most plausible explanation for COVID-19's origin. Perhaps it's time for Fauci to be forthright and cease obfuscating the truth. The American people deserve answers, not cover-ups.
