Fort Stewart Attack Exposes How Weak Leadership Endangers Our Troops

Another day, another active shooter on American soil—this time right on a U.S. Army base in Georgia. Five soldiers were shot during a brazen attack at Fort Stewart, a place that should be the safest zone in the country. Instead, thanks to years of political correctness and failed leadership, the military itself has become vulnerable to the very violence it’s supposed to defend us against.

Let’s get real: the ability of a gunman to open fire on soldiers stationed on our own base is a glaring indictment of how soft and unprepared our institutions have become. Lockdowns and lockdown lifts are just Band-Aids slapped on a gaping wound. The real problem lies in how the left’s obsession with gun control and “inclusion” policies has neutered our military readiness and awareness. When you muzzle those entrusted with your safety and decision-making, chaos is inevitable. This tragedy isn’t an isolated event—it’s the predictable outcome of weakening America’s armed forces from within.

Consider the bigger picture. Fort Stewart is home to some of our most dedicated troops—men and women risking their lives daily. Yet despite their sacrifice, liberal elites and globalists would rather demonize the very tools that keep these soldiers safe than empower them. They want to disarm the people who protect us, making everyone more vulnerable to attacks like this. This insulting, anti-American mindset doesn’t just endanger our bases; it threatens the security of every citizen. Meanwhile, officials rush in with lockdowns and vague reassurances after the damage is done.

It’s high time to stop pandering to left-wing hysteria that paints guns as the enemy. The true enemies are weak leadership and policies that undermine our defense. If a gunman can walk onto a major military base and shoot multiple soldiers, then what hope does an ordinary American have? These soldiers are supposed to be the best trained, best equipped, and best prepared. Yet, they are not safe even inside fenced compounds with strict security.

So what’s the answer? We need a sharp return to common sense—arming and trusting those who protect us, removing the politically motivated restrictions that slow reaction and embolden attackers, and putting American safety above all else. If not, expect more tragedies like Fort Stewart’s shooting. One wonders, how long will America’s military continue to suffer at the hands of those who prioritize progressive ideology over real security? When will we demand accountability from those who let this happen on our soil?
