A massive protest took place outside the BBC’s headquarters in London on Monday night. The protesters were furious with the news network’s refusal to label Hamas as a terrorist group. The National Jewish Assembly, an organization that supports Israel and opposes antisemitism, organized the protest. Many of the protesters proudly displayed Israeli flags and one person even held up a sign that read, “BBC if the king can call Hamas terrorists so can you.”

The BBC defended their decision not to use the term “terrorist” when referring to Hamas, stating that “terrorism is a loaded word” and that they don’t want to take sides in the conflict. How convenient. It seems like the BBC is more concerned with political correctness than reporting the truth.
The National Jewish Assembly have organised a protest outside the BBC over the broadcaster's refusal to label Hamas as terrorists.

Let us make it clear.
We aren’t here to harm anyone. We aren’t here to cause trouble.
We are here to defend ourselves. We are here to get the BBC to do fair coverage of the war and call Hamas terrorists in their reports.#HamasAreTerrorists #StandWithIsrael pic.twitter.com/XHoHJItVcO

Earlier we reported on some of the pro-Palestinian demonstrations at the weekend. We spoke about “several demonstrations across Britain during which people voiced their backing for Hamas”.
We accept this was poorly phrased and was a misleading description of the demonstrations.— Maryam Moshiri (@BBCMaryam) October 16, 2023
EXCLUSIVE: BBC Reporter Noah Abrahams says he resigned from his job at the broadcaster after they failed to call Hamas "terrorists".

The National Jewish Assembly is demanding fair coverage of the war and wants the BBC to start calling Hamas what they really are: terrorists. They gathered a crowd of 1,500 protesters who were all determined to make their voices heard. Additionally, the organization started an online petition calling for a change in the BBC’s policy, and it has already gained over 39,000 signatures. Looks like the public is waking up to the BBC’s biased reporting.
To make matters worse for the BBC, they recently had to issue an apology for falsely labeling pro-Palestinian protesters as supporters of Hamas. The apology came both on live television and through social media, but it’s safe to say that it wasn’t enough for everyone. One journalist from BBC Radio even quit over the corporation’s refusal to use the correct terminology. Good for him for standing up for his principles.
It’s baffling that the BBC would choose to be so politically correct at the expense of reporting the truth. The mainstream media’s liberal bias is nothing new, but it’s truly disappointing to see it on such a prominent news network. It’s time for the BBC to start holding terrorists accountable and stop worrying about stepping on anyone’s toes. The time for honesty is now.
