Gaetz Scorches Reporter’s Bias Against Humble-Living Speaker Johnson

The liberal journalists are once again up to their old tricks, attacking Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson for not owning a fancy car or a million-dollar home. Can you believe it? They actually have the audacity to criticize someone for not being rich enough! This time, it was a reporter from the Daily Beast named Matt Fuller who took aim at Johnson’s financial situation.

Fuller, in his tweet, mocked Johnson for not having any retirement savings, stocks, or assets. He even went so far as to say that Johnson only has less than $5,000 in his bank account! Well, excuse us if not every politician is swimming in money like Nancy Pelosi. It’s refreshing to see someone who isn’t taking advantage of their position for personal gain.

Of course, Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz didn’t take kindly to Fuller’s attack on Johnson. He praised the Speaker for not participating in the corruptness that plagues D.C. “The Daily Beast is furious that @SpeakerJohnson isn’t rich, corrupt or rich from being corrupt,” Gaetz wrote on Twitter. “He doesn’t have shady business deals. He doesn’t trade stocks as a congressman. Cry more, I guess?”

But let’s take a step back and look at the bigger picture here. Every member of Congress is required to report their income and assets. It’s a rule that ensures transparency and accountability. So, the fact that Johnson is following these rules should be commended, not criticized.

It’s clear that the Left has nothing substantial to attack Johnson on, so they’ve resorted to nitpicking his financials. It’s a desperate move from desperate people. Plus, let’s not forget that Nancy Pelosi herself is known for her prolific stock trading and conflicts of interest. Yet, the mainstream media conveniently ignores that fact.

In the end, it’s just another example of the liberal bias in the media. They’ll stop at nothing to try and tear down Republicans, even if it means attacking them for not being as wealthy as they’d like. But Johnson’s financial situation has no impact on his ability to do his job as House Speaker. So, let them cry their crocodile tears while Johnson continues to serve the American people with integrity.
