Gallup Poll Reveals Biden Presidency Leaves Nation Divided And Dissatisfied On Key Issues

Joe Biden’s final week in office is turning out to be a staggering wakeup call for everyone who thought the last four years of his presidency were anything but a steady stream of chaos. A recent poll from Gallup reveals a shocking disconnect between the reality of Americans’ lives and the rosy picture Democrats seem intent on painting. Spoiler alert: the American public isn’t buying it.

Under Biden’s watch, the nation has apparently taken a few steps backwards in key areas that matter to everyday Americans. According to this new report, a strong majority believe the U.S. has lost ground on crucial issues like the federal debt (67%), immigration (64%), and the economy (59%). It hardly takes a crystal ball to predict that most reasonable folks view these problems as a direct result of the Democrat’s policies—more spending and open borders yield disastrous results, yet the party still calls for more of the same.

Meanwhile, areas such as crime and international standing aren’t escaping the blame either, where at least half of Americans feel we’ve regressed. Those in charge might want to consider that crime rates and America’s position in the world typically matter to voters, especially when it comes to feeling safe in their neighborhoods or proud of their country on the global stage.

Interestingly, there’s a sliver of good news for Biden, albeit one that feels more like a participation trophy than a victory lap. Nearly 39% of Americans think there has been progress on LGBTQ+ issues, while a mere 23% see real regression elsewhere. It should be noted, though, that this somewhat disproportionate emphasis on one ideology seems to ignore the pressing crises happening all around—like skyrocketing inflation that truly impacts daily life.

Whether Democrats are genuinely blind to the country’s plummeting fortunes, or simply choosing to live in an alternate reality, the stark party lines in this poll don’t lie. Democrats and their leaners have somehow conjured up the notion that progress is being made in 14 of 18 categories, while Republicans and their allies lament a grim outlook on 17 of those same issues. Only LGBTQ+ ideology seems to find favor from the right, which might be the best indicator of just how out of touch the Biden administration truly is.

As the curtains draw on this ill-fated chapter of American history, it’s safe to speculate that Biden’s presidency will go down in flames. With low approval ratings and growing dissatisfaction across party lines, history will hardly paint a rosy picture; even Gallup nervously notes that Biden’s legacy is likely to remain underwhelming at best. The hope is that voters will remember these missteps come next election cycle, proving that even the most hopeful can learn to read the writing on the wall.
