Gavin Newsom’s ego just broke the meter. Instead of focusing on fixing California’s endless list of problems—homelessness everywhere, crime surging, businesses fleeing—Newsom has decided to make a clown of himself online yet again. The guy can’t get through a single press moment without reminding everyone how obsessed he is with Donald Trump. It’s almost embarrassing at this point. Newsom’s team keeps going out of their way to poke fun at Trump, but all they really end up doing is making him look bigger and better. They just prove Trump is still the main guy, not their wacky governor.
Here’s the wildest part: Newsom literally compared himself to Patrick Bateman. That’s right—the American Psycho character who’s a shallow, empty, narcissistic villain with not a speck of realness in his whole body. Funny how the shoe fits. Only Newsom would brag about being like a psychotic movie character and think it was some kind of clever move. That’s not slick, that’s just another self-own. It shows exactly how lost today’s Democrats are: more focused on bizarre internet stunts than actual leadership.

This is the same guy liberals want to run for president. The same empty suit who’s turned the Golden State into a national joke. Newsom’s press people are so desperate to look “cool” online, they’re willing to amplify Trump’s brand just to get a few sad laughs. Every time they bring up Trump, they help him. It’s unfiltered flattery disguised as trolling. Only in the world of California Democrats do they think that’s a win.
The mainstream media keeps pretending Newsom has charisma. But regular Americans can see right through it. There’s nothing “epic” or “attractive” about a politician obsessed with his own image and spending more time on social media than in the real world. Watching liberal elites prop each other up might amuse their cocktail-party friends in Hollywood, but for the rest of us, it’s just more proof they’re out of touch and hopeless.
Maybe next, Newsom will compare himself to some other deranged movie villain. Hey, at least he’s being honest for once. Is this what the Democrats call leadership—parading as a psycho, worshipping globalist trends, and handing out self-owns while America crumbles? Only someone this arrogant could make President Trump look even more presidential by comparison.
