California’s Governor, Gavin Newsom, is at it again, warning Europe about President Donald Trump. He’s acting like he’s up there in some ivory tower, looking down at our country’s president, calling him a dinosaur from the past. Newsom is trying to scare foreign leaders into thinking that Trump is going to gobble them up unless they bow before him. This is the kind of ridiculous scare tactic that paints America as the bad guy.
While Newsom is busy jetting across the Atlantic, telling Europe to stand up to Trump, we have to ask: what exactly is he standing up for here at home? California is facing soaring taxes, rampant crime, and a homelessness crisis of epic proportions, yet Newsom seems to think his time is better spent playing global politics. It’s the classic liberal move—ignore the problems in your own backyard while lecturing others on how they should manage theirs.

Newsom’s antics are a prime example of liberal hypocrisy. They are quick to criticize America’s leaders while cozying up to globalist ideals. Does Newsom really care about foreign leaders, or is he just trying to get applause from the leftist echo chambers in Europe? The governor might need to take a look in the mirror and focus on California instead of setting up an international theater.
What’s even more absurd is Newsom’s prehistoric analogy. Trying to cast Trump as some menacing creature from a bygone era is not only childish but completely out of touch. Trump is a man of action, not one to play by outdated diplomatic rules. That’s why American voters put him in office—they wanted someone who shakes things up rather than playing the passive game liberals have gotten so comfortable with. Who does Newsom think he’s fooling with these outdated theatrics?
At the end of the day, these types of statements make it clear who truly respects American strength and who panders to anti-American sentiment. One can’t help but wonder when Newsom will wake up to the damage being done under his watch. Perhaps it’s time for him to stop chasing headlines abroad and start fixing the catastrophe happening at home. Are liberal elites really that blind to the hypocrisy, or do they simply not care?
