The National Republican Congressional Committee, or NRCC, has absolutely crushed the fundraising game, raising an incredible $91 million in 2023. This is insane, folks! It’s a record high, setting the stage for a maaaajor cash flow as they head into the presidential year. The NRCC pulled in $7.15 million in December alone, wrapping up the year with a whopping $91.3 million. They’ve got a sweet $42.5 million in the bank as they gear up to grow their slim majority in the House and defend some shaky districts. It’s like winning the lottery, but with more suits and ties and less champagne showers.

Remember that rough patch the House GOP hit back in October? Yeah, things were looking pretty dicey after the old Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) got the boot. They were all worried it would slow down the fundraising train, but boy were they wrong! Since Mike Johnson (R-LA) took over the speaker’s chair, the NRCC has been making it rain with millions of dollars rolling in. They’ve got their eye on the prize, ready to show those extreme House Democrats who’s boss. In the wise words of NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson, “Hakeem Jeffries should prepare himself for another long slog in the minority.” Ouch, that’s gonna leave a mark!
And get this, folks – it gets even better! The big dogs in the House GOP are putting their money where their mouths are. Mike Johnson is tossing an extra $2 million into the mix, bringing his total contributions to a cool $5 million since he took the gavel. Talk about making it rain! And then there’s Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA) stepping up with a smooth $1 million. These guys aren’t just playing checkers – they’re playing 4D chess with this fundraising game, and they’re winning bigly.
On the other side of the ring, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, or DCCC, is talking a big game about reclaiming the House majority. They raised $108.9 million in 2023, showing off their wallet like a peacock strutting its feathers. But hang on a second – let’s not forget that they had a bit of a head start. Their November numbers were looking pretty tasty, and they sure love to remind everyone about it. But we’ll have to wait and see just how much cash they’ve got on hand as we dive headfirst into 2024. Let the battle of the bulging war chests begin!
