In a shocking turn of events, the House vote to impeach Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has failed. Oh boy, what a nail-biter! The vote ended in a tie with a final count of 214-216. Looks like the Democrats couldn’t get their act together on this one.

Now, let’s talk about those three Republicans who actually stood their ground and voted “No” on the impeachment resolution. We’ve got California Rep. Tom McClintock, Colorado Rep. Ken Buck, and Wisconsin Rep. Mike Gallagher. These brave souls proved that not all Republicans are spineless. It’s refreshing to see some conservatives who aren’t afraid to swim against the liberal tide.
The resolution to impeach Mayorkas was originally introduced by the fierce and fearless Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene. Finally, someone with the guts to take a stand against the corruption and incompetence in our government! Back in November, the House referred articles of impeachment against Mayorkas to committee, but the whole thing fizzled out because eight weak-willed Republicans voted with the Democrats. Disappointing, to say the least.
But fear not, Greene didn’t back down. She reintroduced the resolution in November, and now it looks like the Democrats are feeling the heat. Good on Greene for not giving up on holding Mayorkas accountable for his actions.
It’s clear that Mayorkas has a lot to answer for. Just ask exclusive source Sen. Roger Marshall, who claims that Mayorkas has lied “multiple times under oath” to Congress. Yikes! If that’s not a reason to impeach someone, then what is?
In the end, this failed impeachment vote serves as a reminder that the Democrats may have the numbers, but they don’t always have the support. There are still Republicans out there who are willing to fight for what’s right. Keep your heads held high, conservatives, and let’s keep pushing for accountability in our government. Our country deserves nothing less.
