In a fiery exchange during Tuesday’s press conference, Representative Scott Perry (R-PA) of the GOP took aim at a foreign journalist, criticizing the media for allegedly turning a blind eye to corruption involving President Joe Biden. The clash began when the journalist questioned the evidence supporting the Republicans’ call for an impeachment inquiry against Biden.

Sarcastically responding to the journalist’s question about evidence, Perry quipped, “Oh, I don’t know.” However, the journalist persisted, suggesting that the inquiry might be driven by Kevin McCarthy’s desire for “political revenge.” Visibly frustrated, Perry refuted the claim, citing the Biden family’s opulent lifestyle as evidence of potential wrongdoing.
Perry pointed out that the Biden family’s bank accounts and luxurious homes are incongruent with their congressional or Senate salaries. He then listed a series of allegations against the Bidens, accusing them of receiving substantial sums of money from foreign interests and establishing multiple shell companies.
This outburst from Perry underscores the GOP’s frustration with what they perceive as left-wing media bias. As the impeachment inquiry into Biden continues, partisan tensions surrounding the Biden administration are likely to be exacerbated.
