The Washington Examiner recently reported that the Republican Party took control of the House in 2022, and boy, have they hit the ground running! These GOP-ers are on a mission to investigate President Biden and his administration, especially when it comes to their beef with former President Donald Trump. They’re not messing around, folks!
Since seizing the reins, Republican lawmakers have been firing off investigations into President Biden left and right. They are also making sure to have Trump’s back as he deals with his own legal battles and federal investigations. It’s like they’re saying, “You mess with Trump, you mess with us!”
Representative Lance Gooden from Texas is all in on Team Trump. He’s been squawking about standing up for the former president and making sure he doesn’t get unfairly targeted. Gooden even sent a letter to the American Bar Association, demanding that action be taken against a group that’s trying to disbar lawyers who worked on Trump’s post-election lawsuits. He’s not having any of that nonsense!
Gooden is also part of the Judiciary Committee, which is leading the charge against what they call the “weaponization” of the federal government. They’re out here slapping subpoenas on district attorneys and making a big fuss about alleged conflicts of interest. It’s like a political soap opera, and everyone’s got a role to play!
Now, House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik from New York is also pounding the pavement for Trump. And let’s not forget about Rep. Matt Gaetz from Florida, who’s ready to introduce a resolution stating that Trump did not participate in actions that would disqualify him from holding public office. They’re like a bunch of kids on the playground, yelling “not it” when it comes to blaming Trump for anything!

They’ve relaunched the Congressional Integrity Project to push back against the GOP’s investigations, calling them distractions from Trump’s own legal woes.
