In a bold move to protect national security, Republican Missouri Rep. Mark Alford and a group of House and Senate Republicans have sounded the alarm on a manufacturing facility with Chinese Communist Party (CCP) ties being built dangerously close to crucial military installations in Kansas and Missouri. These Republicans ain’t playin’ around, folks!
The letter, obtained by The Daily Caller, was sent to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, urging the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) to investigate the planned investment by Cnano Technologies, USA Inc. in a massive manufacturing facility in Johnson County, Kansas. And let me tell you, folks, this is no small facility – we’re talking about a whopping 333,000 square feet! That’s enough space to store all the liberal tears shed over President Trump’s accomplishments.

Rep. Alford couldn’t contain his concern over the CCP’s involvement in this project. He called out their brazen aggressions around the globe and insisted that we cannot tolerate their sneaky infiltration right in our own backyard. And he’s absolutely right! We must put a stop to this madness before it’s too late!
Joining Rep. Alford in this heroic endeavor are other fierce conservatives like Rep. Jake LaTurner from Kansas, Rep. Eric Burlison and Rep. Luetkemeyer from Missouri, and Louisiana Rep. Garret Graves. On the Senate side, we have the incomparable Missouri Sen. Eric Schmitt and Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall. Folks, this is what we call a powerhouse team fighting for America!
Their concerns go beyond just politics, my friends. They are deeply worried about protecting our critical military infrastructure from Chinese Communist Party espionage. Can you blame them? No, seriously, can you blame them? I certainly can’t! We cannot afford to let the CCP get any closer to our prized military installations like Whiteman Air Force Base and Fort Leavenworth.
But wait, there’s more! The Daily Caller report uncovers the shocking proximity of the proposed facility to Fort Leavenworth and the “only operational base for the B-2,” Whiteman Air Force Base. That’s a mere 35 and 70 miles away, respectively! It’s like setting up camp right next to your ex’s house. Awkward and potentially dangerous.
Rep. LaTurner summed it up perfectly when he called Cnano USA a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” and a threat to our national and economic security. And let me tell you folks, I couldn’t agree more! We cannot allow the Chinese Communist Party to infiltrate our supply chains and military installations – not on our watch!
To their credit, the Biden administration must step up and take action. We need to prevent the CCP from expanding its foothold not only in Kansas but across the entire country. The safety and security of our great nation are at stake, and it’s time for some real leadership!
So, mark your calendars, folks! The lawmakers have demanded a response by February 16, 2024 (yes, that’s a long way away), and they want to see Whiteman Air Force Base, Kansas City National Security Campus, and Fort Leavenworth included in the next round of CFIUS reviews. Let’s hope the Biden administration takes this threat seriously and puts America first, where it belongs!
