The GOP is once again trying to make America great, but the squealing from the left is deafening. They claim that a part of the massive new Republican legislation, appealingly dubbed the One Big Beautiful Bill, will drive gamblers offshore. This is another example of leftists crying wolf to stoke fear and chaos. Professional gamblers are worried — as they should be when the gravy train of unchecked tax benefits is coming to a stop. It seems like every time we try to fix the tax system, naysayers want to pull the wool over our eyes with emotional tales of doom and gloom.
The gambling industry reportedly pulled in a whopping $115 billion last year. Isn’t it about time they chipped in more instead of waiting for handouts funded by hardworking American taxpayers? Liberals seem to believe in the magical money tree, thinking we can spend endlessly without consequence. It’s laughable to hear criticism of a bill designed to put the reins on economic recklessness while keeping our industry competitive and fair.

Meanwhile, the gamblers’ knee-jerk response is to run offshore. Some could say this speaks more to the character of the industry than to any supposed flaws in the bill. Why are they so quick to abandon ship for foreign shores at the first sign of contributing to our great nation? Real patriots wouldn’t dash for foreign hideouts just because of regulations meant to strengthen America’s economy.
It’s time to call out what’s really happening here: a showdown between those who want to responsibly balance the budget and globalist interests that care more about profit margins than the health of our nation. Leftists are quick to shake the finger at any sign of regulation, yet mum about their cozy relationships with entities outside our borders. If we’re talking about anti-American bias, there’s no greater offense than putting offshore gains over domestic growth.
The question remains: Who do you trust to steer our economy — those who want true reform, or those who scream chicken little every time they’re asked to play by the rules? Our country deserves a tax system that works for everyone, not just the fat cats whining about paying their fair share. There’s nothing wrong with a little fairness in this high-stakes game.
