Sebastian Gorka, a former White House advisor to Donald Trump, recently gave a passionate speech defending Trump’s return to the White House. Speaking at the Oxford Union Society, Gorka argued against a motion that expressed fear over the return of “Trump’s America.” Gorka pointed out that Trump did more than any other president in recent generations to defend representative government, national sovereignty, and the greatness of our civilization.

Gorka also mentioned that Trump received over 130 million votes in the 2016 election, a feat that no other person in history has achieved. He emphasized the importance of letting the people decide who should run the country and criticized the political and military elite who have dominated American politics for years. Gorka said that Trump’s election was a rejection of the failed status quo and highlighted Trump’s love for America and his disdain for political correctness as reasons why he supported him.
In his speech, Gorka discussed the fears that Trump’s return would evoke in ISIS, the Iranian regime, drug cartels, and Vladimir Putin. He mentioned how Trump effectively dealt with ISIS and eliminated the physical caliphate. Gorka also recounted a story about when Trump ordered the killing of 300 Russian mercenaries in the Middle East, causing Putin to do nothing out of fear. He commended Trump’s tough approach to dealing with dictators, citing the peace summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un as an example.
Gorka also criticized the handling of immigration and the violation of national sovereignty in recent years. He expressed concern over the influx of illegal immigrants and the trafficking of women and girls across the border, arguing that left-wing organizations exploit these individuals for political gain. Gorka ended his speech by highlighting Trump’s commitment to keeping his promises, such as his decision to move the US embassy to Jerusalem, despite opposition.
Gorka’s speech at the Oxford Union Society was a strong defense of Trump’s presidency and his potential return to the White House. He highlighted Trump’s accomplishments and his willingness to stand up against the establishment and political correctness. Gorka’s speech resonated with many liberal students, with over 40 percent ultimately opposing the motion that feared the return of “Trump’s America.”
