Breaking news! Conservative dynamo Rep. Kay Granger, the powerhouse from Texas, has unleashed a budget bill that’s slamming the brakes on the out-of-control spending at immigration courts. The bill, known as the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2024, is a game-changer in the fight to rein in illegal immigration.
Those immigration courts, run by the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR), are about to see a $16 million haircut thanks to Rep. Granger’s bold and gutsy move. This means the EOIR will have to tighten its belt and make do with a measly $844 million for the rest of the fiscal year, down from the lavish $860 million they got in 2023. It’s about time someone put a stop to the excessive spending that’s been fueling the immigration crisis!

With over two million pending cases clogging up the courts, it’s clear that something needed to change. The EOIR judges have been drowning in a sea of over 4,000 cases each on average, trying to keep up with the never-ending influx of illegal migrants. It’s no wonder the system is bursting at the seams!
But fear not, patriots! Rep. Granger’s bill is a shining beacon of hope in a sea of bureaucratic dysfunction. It’s high time we start prioritizing the needs of American citizens over those who break our laws and enter our country illegally. With over 6.5 million illegal migrants flooding across our southern border since 2021, it’s clear that we need to take a stand and secure our nation once and for all.
While the Democrats in the Senate may have tried to push through their own weak-kneed proposal for more funding, it’s clear that Rep. Granger’s bill is the real deal. We don’t need more money thrown at a broken system – we need real solutions, and that’s exactly what this bill delivers.
So, kudos to Rep. Granger for standing up for what’s right and putting the brakes on the runaway train of illegal immigration. It’s time to build that wall, secure our borders, and ensure that American taxpayers’ hard-earned dollars are spent wisely. Let’s make America safe and secure again!
