In a fiery response to British Foreign Secretary David Cameron’s comparison of opponents of Ukraine aid to appeasers of Adolf Hitler, Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia had some choice words for him. “Can kiss my ass,” she declared with a fierce determination that would put any debate to shame. And honestly, who can blame her?
‘He Can Kiss My A**’: MTG Responds To British Foreign Secretary Comparing Ukraine Aid Opponents To Hitler’s Appeasers https://t.co/mkhdwgxNfG

Cameron had the audacity to suggest that not passing a $95 billion foreign aid bill for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan would be akin to the weakness displayed against Hitler in the 1930s. Talk about a stretch. Greene was quick to point out that Cameron should focus on his own country and leave the United States to handle its own affairs. After all, we’ve got enough on our plate without getting tangled up in never-ending conflicts.
But it didn’t stop there. Greene took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice her frustrations with Cameron’s comparison. She called attention to the presence of Nazis in Ukraine’s army, specifically mentioning the Azov Battalion. It’s clear that she’s not buying into any name-calling or attempts to guilt-trip her into supporting the war in Ukraine. And honestly, we should all follow her lead.
Greene wasn’t the only Republican lawmaker who saw through Cameron’s misguided comparison. Rep. Chip Roy of Texas made it clear that endless conflict funding is not in the best interest of our national security or the people of Ukraine. He echoed the sentiment that it’s time to reassess our approach and stop signing blank checks.
Rep. Mike Waltz of Florida, a former Green Beret, called out the British for demanding that the United States sign said blank check instead of urging the rest of Europe to contribute their fair share. It’s about time someone had the courage to speak up against these unfair demands.
In response to all this pushback, a spokesman for the British Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office declined to comment. Perhaps they realized they were in over their heads and that their comparison was a bit of a stretch. Either way, it’s clear that Greene and her fellow Republican lawmakers are not afraid to speak their minds and challenge the status quo.
It’s refreshing to see politicians like Marjorie Taylor Greene taking a stand against misguided comparisons and attempts to guilt-trip them into supporting never-ending conflicts. It’s about time we reassess our approach, prioritize our national security, and demand that other countries pull their weight instead of relying on the United States to foot the bill. Kudos to Greene and her colleagues for being bold and unafraid to speak the truth.
