In a bold and fearless move, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has once again taken a stand against the incompetence and failure of Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. With unwavering determination, she announced her introduction of a resolution to impeach Mayorkas for the third time. This powerhouse of a lawmaker didn’t hold back as she passionately detailed the numerous blunders and historic failures plaguing the southern border under Mayorkas’s watch.

Rep. Greene minced no words as she called out Mayorkas for his abysmal track record, which has allowed hundreds of thousands of migrants to enter the U.S. illegally. Her fervor was palpable as she highlighted the overwhelming strain this influx has placed on border officials and the impact it has had on deep-blue cities like Chicago and New York. The Democrats have been clamoring for President Joe Biden to address the unrest caused by this surge, but as usual, they’re all talk and no action.
Citing what she called “high crimes and misdemeanors”, Rep. Greene accused Mayorkas of a pattern of negligence in the performance of his duties. She unflinchingly pointed to his failure to faithfully execute laws passed by Congress and his disregard for the Secure Fence Act of 2006, which requires the homeland secretary to maintain operational control of all international borders. It’s as clear as day that Mayorkas has dropped the ball, and Rep. Greene is not one to let him off the hook.
In a move that showcased her unwavering persistence, the Georgia Republican revealed that she had previously made two attempts to impeach Mayorkas, only to have some weak-kneed Republicans join forces with the Democrats to block the measure. However, undeterred by this setback, she re-introduced the resolution and refused to back down until she secured a commitment to impeach Mayorkas in January. Now that’s what we call determination!
The dire situation at the southern border under Mayorkas’s watch has forced the nation to face a harsh reality – our homeland security is in shambles. Rep. Greene boldly labeled the historic flood of illegal border crossings as a “willful admittance” by Mayorkas that he has lost control of the southern border, thereby allowing “terrorists, human traffickers, drugs, and other contraband” to flow unchecked into our country. This is a dangerous game of “border security roulette” that Mayorkas has been playing, and the American people are the ones paying the ultimate price.
Of course, the Democrats, under the leadership of Homeland Security Committee ranking member Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), are quick to dismiss the impeachment effort as “completely baseless” and “a political stunt without any foundation in the Constitution.” This, coming from the same party that routinely engages in political theatrics, stunts, and witch hunts. It’s laughable how they excel at dishing it out but can’t handle it when the tables are turned.
Standing shoulder to shoulder with the tenacious Rep. Greene is House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA), who is singlehandedly offering fresh opportunities for conservatives to address vital issues like the border crisis, investigations into the January 6th, 2021 riots at the Capitol, and the potential impeachment of President Joe Biden. It’s clear that Speaker Johnson is a force to be reckoned with, as he relentlessly negotiates with the White House over a border package that would pave the way for increased deportations. President Biden finds himself in a bind, torn between honoring popular conservative policies and placating the far-left members of his party who oppose all efforts to deport illegal arrivals.
It’s no surprise that Rep. Greene and Speaker Johnson are doubling down on their commitment to hold Mayorkas and the Biden administration accountable. They are the epitome of unwavering resolve and staunch determination in the face of adversity. Their dedication to the security and well-being of the American people is unmatched, and they will stop at nothing to ensure that our borders are defended, our laws are upheld, and our nation remains safe and prosperous.
