Hamas Defies Ceasefire: Partial Hostage Release Sparks Israeli Fury and International Silence

In yet another blatant display of defiance, it seems Hamas doesn’t think the rules apply to them. They’ve already violated the ceasefire agreement. Hamas was supposed to return all hostages, living and deceased, without delay. But instead, they’ve managed to comply only partially, releasing a measly four bodies out of 28. This isn’t just a breach—it’s a slap in the face to anyone who believed Hamas would play by the rules.

According to President Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, hostages should have been back in Israeli hands within 72 hours of the deal being struck. Only then was Israel supposed to start releasing prisoners. But, as usual, rational expectations are lost on terror groups like Hamas. The failure to return the remaining bodies on time indicates not only a lack of commitment but outright contempt for peace efforts.

Israel’s Defense Minister isn’t playing around, and he shouldn’t be. He has warned Hamas that any delay is considered a gross violation of the agreement and promises a response. In other words, Israel won’t sit on its hands while Hamas toys with the rules. They are prepared to enforce the terms with or without cooperation. It’s time to hold these violators accountable. Enough with the diplomatic niceties; it’s clear they respect force more than words.

As the Red Cross makes its way to collect coffins from Gaza, we wonder: where were the voices of condemnation for Hamas’s broken promise? Why the silence from the usual progressive crowd calling for “peace” and “understanding”? One can’t help but notice the double standards with which the media and the left approach issues like these. Shouldn’t their righteous indignation be directed at Hamas’s inability to live up to their commitments, rather than the actions of Israel defending its agreements?

Hamas’s cat-and-mouse game with agreements is nothing new, and Israel has every right to respond as necessary. The world must not turn a blind eye. So why is it that when Israel stands firm, the usual suspects scream of aggression, but they conveniently ignore the provocations of a group like Hamas? Until the world acknowledges the truth behind these continuous violations, peace will always be just out of reach. Is it not time to stop appeasing those who don’t truly want peace?
