Hamas Rejects Peace Yet Again, Israel’s Patience Wears Thin

In a move that surprises no one, the barbaric terrorists known as Hamas have once again rejected a ceasefire proposal, proving once more that they refuse to give up their weapons or release innocent hostages held by Israel. This comes after rejecting numerous ceasefire offers since December, with the latest round of talks in Cairo mediated by the Egyptians, Qataris, and even the CIA Director William Burns being the latest casualty of Hamas’ refusal to make peace.

As this unfolds, the clueless sympathizers of Hamas in the U.S. continue to chant “CEASEFIRE NOW,” apparently oblivious to the fact that Hamas keeps turning down ceasefire offers left and right. It’s almost as if they’re waiting for the terrorists to regroup and launch another devastating attack — which, spoiler alert, is exactly what Hamas wants.

Hamas officials claim that the talks broke down due to “no change in the position of the occupation,” referring to the State of Israel, which Hamas delusionally believes is occupying land that rightfully belongs to Israel. In reality, Hamas knows they don’t stand a chance against Israel’s rightful response to the years of attacks on innocent Israelis by these terrorists.

Enia Krivine, from the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), rightly pointed out that Hamas leaders are fully aware that their days are numbered, and they have little to no incentive to make a deal. They seem to be callously using the hostage families’ plight to stay in the spotlight, rejecting ceasefire offers just to maintain their leverage.

Even after Israel’s generous proposals, including a potential exchange of 700 prisoners for 40 Israeli hostages, Hamas still slammed the door on peace. And now, to make matters worse, reports suggest that Hamas is rejecting ceasefires because they can’t find 40 living hostages. What in the world are they doing to these hostages, and why can’t they find them alive? These are dark questions that need answers.

Despite Hamas being the root cause of the ongoing conflict and solely responsible for the fighting in Gaza, the Biden administration insists that Israel should not pursue military action and demands an immediate ceasefire. President Biden even had the audacity to lecture Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the need for an immediate ceasefire, completely ignoring the fact that Israel has repeatedly tried to negotiate, only to be met with defiance from Hamas.

But Netanyahu isn’t having any of it. He has made it clear that there is a set date for an operation in Rafah to root out terrorists in the area. It’s about time someone took a stand against these terrorists and put an end to their reckless behavior.
