The Elite Eight game between Iowa’s Caitlin Clark and LSU’s Angel Reese was a real nail-biter, and boy did those Hawkeyes give those LSU Tigers a run for their money. The Hawkeyes were out for blood after being bested by the LSU Tigers in last year’s NCAA championship game. But this time, Caitlin Clark wasn’t messing around. She lit up the court, scoring an incredible 41 points, including some killer three-pointers, leading Iowa to a thrilling 94-87 victory. The game drew over 12 million viewers, showing just how much people love a good underdog story.
Now, Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese really deserve all the attention and accolades they’re getting. But leave it to Vice President Kamala Harris to try and steal their spotlight. She went off and claimed that 2022 was the first year the women’s tournament had brackets. Like, seriously? That’s just not true. Former President Barack Obama always made a bracket for the women’s games. It’s like Harris is trying to rewrite history just to fit her own agenda. Can’t she just give credit where credit’s due?
And then there’s Clark saying that more people were excited about the women’s games than the men’s this year. Uh, hold your horses there, Caitlin. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. That’s just not the reality. Harris and Clark are both trying to push this narrative that doesn’t align with the facts, and it’s honestly quite concerning. It makes you wonder if they’re even paying attention or if they’re just too wrapped up in their own world to see what’s really going on.

It’s like they’re at a party, chatting up a storm after one too many White Claws, and completely missing the point. It’s a shame that these public figures can’t seem to get it together and support their country’s athletes without trying to make it all about themselves. It’s a real shame!
