In an act of pure villainy that’s shocking yet sadly predictable in today’s divisive climate, a deranged would-be assassin targeted former President Donald Trump during a rally in Butler County, Pennsylvania. This heinous attempt left Corey Comperatore, a 50-year-old former fire department chief and father, dead while protecting his wife and daughters from the gunfire.
Comperatore wasn’t just another rally attendee; he was a paragon of American values. An engineer by trade and the former chief of the Buffalo Township Volunteer Fire Company, he exemplified the highest virtues of service and heroism. Against the backdrop of Trump’s rally, a place meant for expressing free speech and political support, Comperatore’s tragic, untimely death underscores a growing trend—the Left’s intolerance and violent aggression toward conservative voices.
The multi-partisan resolution introduced by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) honors Comperatore’s extraordinary bravery.
