The release of special counsel Robert Hur’s report on Joe Biden’s handling of classified materials has caused quite the uproar this week. And now, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is chiming in with her two cents. As reported by the ever-trustworthy Fox News, Clinton’s remarks are gaining significant attention in light of Hur’s findings.
Of course, it comes as no surprise that Hur’s report has once again brought up concerns about Biden’s cognitive state and his advanced age. Some are even calling on Cabinet members to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Biden from office. This isn’t just a matter of politics; it’s a matter of national security!
During a chat with MSNBC’s Alex Wagner, Clinton admitted that she talks to people in the White House all the time (because we all know she has a direct line to the Oval Office). She acknowledged that Biden’s age is a legitimate issue, but she quickly tried to deflect by pointing out that Trump is only three years younger. Nice try, Hillary. We’re not falling for your deflection tactics!
But fear not, folks. Despite acknowledging Biden’s potential cognitive decline, Clinton is still throwing her support behind him. Why, you ask? Well, it turns out she’s all about the “merits.” Maybe she meant to say “demerits,” because there’s certainly no merit in electing a president who can’t even remember his own name.
In her wisdom (or lack thereof), Clinton suggests that Biden should joke about his age and lean into the fact that he’s experienced. Oh yes, let’s all have a good laugh about the leader of the free world not being able to remember where he left his car keys! And experience? Is that what we’re calling decades of questionable decision-making now?
While Clinton tries to downplay concerns about Biden’s age, the White House and Biden’s inner circle are livid about Hur’s report. His personal lawyers are declaring that the description of Biden’s memory is “not accurate or appropriate.” But come on, we all saw that disastrous press conference where Biden stumbled over his words and struggled to respond to the report. The American electorate isn’t buying the spin anymore! It’s time for some honesty and transparency in our leadership.
So, while Clinton may try to make light of the situation, we know that there’s nothing funny about having a president with a failing memory. We deserve a leader who is sharp, alert, and able to make important decisions that shape our nation’s future. It’s time to wake up, America, and demand better than what Biden and his team are offering us.
