Last Friday, House Republicans thought they struck gold when they selected Jim Jordan as their nominee for speaker. But oh, how the mighty have fallen! Just a week later, they dropped poor Jim like a hot potato. It’s like they asked him to prom and then dumped him for the quarterback. Ouch!
