James Comer (R-Kentucky), chairman of the House Oversight Committee, updated the chamber on the status of its investigation into allegations of malfeasance involving Biden. Rep. Chip Roy (R-Texas), conversely, advocated for the defunding of universities as a reaction to antisemitic incidents that occurred on campuses throughout the Gaza conflict.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) provided updates on the investigation into the alleged espionage of members of Congress and their personnel by the Department of Justice. In letters to the CEOs of technology companies and Attorney General Merrick Garland, he demanded details regarding the purported efforts to acquire confidential communications. Jordan unequivocally declared their commitment to upholding the truth and carrying out their constitutional obligations.
Hannity inquired of Speaker Johnson whether President Biden could be impeachment-worthy in light of the mounting evidence. Johnson emphasized their dedication to seeking the truth and the gravity of the impeachment situation. He emphasized that the investigation will continue and that impeachment is not being used for political gain.
