Among the notable holdouts were a handful of Republican representatives who seemed to channel their inner diva before making their final decisions. Tim Burchett from Tennessee, Warren Davidson from Ohio, and Victoria Spartz of Indiana flipped their positions just in time to support the bill, although Thomas Massie from Kentucky held firm in his objection. The final vote followed some back-and-forth maneuvering, reflecting the classic drama that seems to accompany fiscal discussions in Congress.
Now, the stage is set for negotiators from both the House and Senate to come together and create a compromise bill that sits well with Trump and can navigate the treacherous waters of Congress.
